Chelsea legendary striker and former assistant head coach, Gianfranco Zola has revered in the surprise of Victor Osimhen’s potentials as he admitted that the Napoli forward has all it takes to help Gennaro Gattuso’s side succeed in the new season.
Since his big-money switch from Lille to Napoli, the Nigerian forward has netted two hat-tricks, in three pre-season games and Zola has backed to replicate such fine form when Napoli kicks off their 2020/21 Serie A campaign against AC Parma at the Ennio Tardini Stadium on Sunday, September 20.
The Ex Napoli forward in an interview revealed: “Napoli with Gattuso has found equilibrium. it will be an open game. Napoli has grown a lot with Gattuso, he will be among the protagonists if Osimhen also enters immediately, he has important qualities that were lacking in the squad especially in the counterattack. He plays very well on the offside.”
The 21-year scooped a major award after the Super Eagles attacker was voted as Lille’s best player of the 2019/20 Ligue 1 season which was forced to a premature end due to the Coronavirus pandemic before the switch.
