Zaidu did not participate in full training with the rest of his teammates and it is now a foregone decision that he will not be called up for the game against Sporting CP.
Zaidu’s absence is attributed to an injury sustained during training sessions leading up to the match.
While the specifics of the injury have not been disclosed, the coaching staff has decided to prioritize his recovery to ensure he regains full fitness for the future.
His recovery is going according to plan, given that he is not supposed to return to action until at least late August.
Zaidu has been a key player for Porto, known for his pace and defensive capabilities.
His absence will likely prompt coach Sergio Conceição to adjust the lineup, possibly bringing in a backup fullback or shifting player roles to cover the defensive flank.
