The leadership of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria, YSFON, Nasarawa State Chapter, has rated the efforts of the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule in the promotion of youth and sports in the State high.

The State’s Chairman of YSFON, Comr. Suleiman Usman Bako, made the disclosure on Wednesday when he led his EXCO members on a congratulatory and familiarization visit to the Permanent Secretary, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi.
According to him, “We are here to congratulate you on your appointment as Permanent Secretary of this great Ministry and as Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation’s Legal Committee.
“We know your commitment and capabilities as far as sport is concerned in Nigeria. You are an asset to the State, and we are glad to identify with a personality like you.
“YSFON is your family because most of our members are staff of this Ministry. We know the roles you can play to enable us to attain our goals.
“The decision to appoint and post you here is one of the greatest services done to the people of the State by the Governor.
“YSFON has gotten massive support from the Government of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
“Suffice it to say this administration has invested so much in the development of youth and sports in the State. We are always in the news headlines as a result, and we know with more support, more can be achieved.
“Permanent Secretary, sir, we also want to appeal that you carry us along in any opportunity you think we can fit in.
“YSFON will always be for you, pray for you and be there whenever you want us. We assure you and this administration that we will always stand by you to succeed.”
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary expressed gratitude to the delegation for the visit, saying he was touched by the gesture.
He said YSFON is the kind of Organisation the Government would like to relate to and do business with.
“Engr. Abdullahi Sule is a youth-friendly Governor and from what he has done so far, you will agree that sporting activities have blossomed in Nasarawa State.
“This Government is open to development partnerships.
“That being said, kindly see this place as your home even as I wish to guarantee you that we will continue to partner with you in relevant areas.
“I solicit for your cooperation to see how we can move sports, particularly youth sports, forward.
“Thank you for coming, and God bless you abundantly.”
Lending his goodwill message, the Madakin Lafia Beriberi, Alh. Isiaka Dauda said sports people should learn to be patient and try again whenever they are faced with challenges.
He said the sport has the power to unite people from different backgrounds and beliefs and is capable of triggering development in any society.
He eulogized the Permanent Secretary and wished him well in the task before him.
