Following the appointment of a new chairman earlier this month, The Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria YSFON Anambra State has now announced the appointment of a new technical director.
Seasoned sports administrator Oliver Ndigwe has been named the new technical director as YSFON strives to revive the sporting activities in the state. Oliver Ndigwe, former Rangers International player and UK trained sports administrator is considered one of the best choices for this position.
Recall that earlier this month, the prestigious organization announced another seasoned administrator Akonam Obiefuna as its new chairman, and now with the addition of Oliver Ndigwe, one will consider it as a giant step towards reviving a once-powerful organization in the state.
In addition to the announcement of Akonam and Ndigwe as Chairman and Technical Director respectively, YSFON Anambra has also made public the full list of its executives for the next five years.
Long-serving Secretary Rafael Nweke retains his post while Prince Mbaezue Jnr (Jimbaz) will act as the Vice-President.
Also, YSFON Anambra announced the creation of a media department.
This newly created department comprises of Ralph Chidozie George (who is no stranger to YSFON having been a former media/communications director for YSFON Enugu State), Chigozie Chukwuleta (who is currently the vice-chairman Sports Writers Association South East Zone and a veteran sportswriter), and Diegwu Nwankwor (who is currently a member of the media department of the League Management Company of Nigeria and a rising star in Sports Broadcasting).
