South East Ambassador of the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), SIR PRINCE ELEAZAR ONYEWUCHI OGBONNA has sustained his support and sympathy for widows and the less privileged in the society as he hosted a large number of beneficiaries during the Yuletide.
The pilot programme which has impacted on the lives of the people over the years was observed with donation and distribution of food items and clothing materials to widows in Owerri West local government of Imo State.
The former football, who had also offset the medical bills of some indigent citizens in the community, said he derived joy and fulfillment taken care of the sick and the less privileged in the society.
“It feels good extending assistance to the needy. There is greater joy in sharing, especially with the under privileged. It is all about putting smiles on their faces and given them hope for a better tomorrow,” he said.
Sir Onyewuchi, who has expressed concern over the plight of the families of some dead sportsmen in the state pledged to extend the support to them.
“As a sports man, I have deep feeling for the sportsmen and women in need of assistance. I know we have some of the state and would like to visit them. They need our encouragement and support, especially the families in dire need of support.”
