Following the departure of Team Nigeria to Buenos Aires for this year’s edition of the Youth Olympic Games in Argentina, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Olusade Olusola has stated that the ministry has done its best for the athletes before their departure.
According to Olusade, the ministry has provided all the athletes the necessary capacity building that will enable them excel in Argentina.
“The team left the shores of Nigeria for Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina on Tuesday,” Olusade Olusola recalled in a chat with Sports247.ng.
“The Ministry has made provision to ensure that the athletes compete favourably with their counterparts at the World Stage. I hope they represent Nigeria very well and win laurels.”
“We believe that they won’t disappoint the trust that Nigerians have in them, which means winning medals at the competition.”
