“My experience at the National Youth Games in Asaba has been truly enjoyable. I’ve had the opportunity to meet many young people my age from various states, and we’ve become good friends. This has been an amazing and memorable experience for me, especially since it’s my first time participating.” says Glory as she shares her sentiments with Sports 247.
The competition has been fierce, but Glory and her team have given their all on the court. Her focus now lies on the upcoming match against Ogun State, with the goal of reaching the final and clinching a gold medal.

“I have a strong desire to win the gold medal, not just for myself, but also as a dedication to my coach and my parents. Initially, my parents were concerned that pursuing badminton might affect my education. So, I’ve been working diligently to prove to them that I can excel in both areas. Winning the gold medal would be a significant achievement for me, and it’s a way to show my appreciation to my coach and parents.” She shared.
While Glory Ajayi aspires to be a professional badminton player, she holds her education in high regard. She draws inspiration from the senior badminton players on her team, acknowledging their experience and dedication.
