The second edition of the David Okereke Scouting tournament is still ongoing at the Legacy Pitch of the National Stadium Surulere with lots of talent on display.
David Dosu, the elder brother of former Super Eagles goalkeeper Joseph Dosu, praised the talents on display whilst also stating that it’s common with Lagos state.
“It’s good, there’s talent in the grassroot. This is the kind of thing you can see in Lagos State. If you want talent, you come to Lagos State,” David told Sports247.
“I enjoy it because there’s talent here in the grassroot, young boys who can really play football,” he added.
Sometimes referred to as the Coach of Coaches, David Dosu also stated his love for the grassroot as a preferred area compared to professional football.
“I enjoy the grassroot more than the professional sides. If you want players, go to the grassroot and pick and you can see how our U17 are doing well,” he said.
