*Says the team will bounce back in 2021, despite not winning a match in 2020
Former Flying Eagles and Super Eagles attacker, Chinedu Obasi has Charged Super Eagles’ coach Gernot Rohr to get the best out of his players in 2021, despite not winning a single game in 2020.
The former Nigerian attacker admitted that the team is blessed with an abundance of talents and is one of the best in the African division, despite not winning a game this year (2020).
Nigeria will finish 2020 in 35th position in the world and the joint-fourth best-ranked team in Africa, behind Senegal, Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, according to FIFA the last release of its rankings for the year 2020.
Gernot Rohr’s side played four games this year, drawing three matches and losing one.
Chinedu Obasi admitted that the squad is blessed with abundant talents in all areas and charged Gernot Rohr to try as much as possible to bring out the very best of every player in the team, come next year.
“We have a great team, but sometimes it’s difficult to say. Like the last game, it didn’t go the way we would have wanted, going four ahead of Sierra Leone and the opponents coming back, it’s always a very difficult situation”, he admitted.

Chinedu Obasi represented Nigeria at the 2008 Nations Cup, held in Ghana as well as the 2010 FIFA World Cup, held in South Africa. He played 28 times for the Nigerian National team.
