Former Nigeria international Yisa Sofoluwe has stated that playing well and seeing grey areas to work on in time for the AFCON in Egypt should be the main focus of the team and urge Nigerians to be cool with this.
In a chat with Sports247, Sofoluwe said that having it good at the tournament should supersede any form of results going to the competition proper and wants to see the Super Eagles play games well to get the team prepared for the AFCON.
“We need to play friendly matches to prepare, it is not very important we win because the important thing is for us to play friendly matches for us to know where our problem really is.”
Nigeria have been earmarked to play at least two quality friendly matches before the AFCON in Egypt.
