Chairman Lagos State Football Coaches Association, Fredrick Yamala has called on all candidates to embrace peace and shun politics with bitterness in the forthcoming elections of Lagos State Football Coaches Association, LSFCA scheduled for August.
Yamala in a chat with our correspondent urged the football coaches in Lagos to shun the campaign of calumny and work for the progress and success of the association.
He said there are many candidates who are vying for chairmanship seat and other positions advised them not to see the forthcoming Lagos football election as do or die affairs.
“Presently I am still the chairman Lagos State Football Coaches Association. I am aware that candidates have started campaigns on social media and move from one council to another. All I want is peace in our association.
The election should not be a do-or-die affair and whosoever emerges as the winner should be given support. It is when Lagos gets it right, other states would follow but if there is a crisis before, during, or after our elections, it shows that we are not lived by example,” he said.
Asked if he is still contesting for the chairmanship seat, Yamala said he is not contesting for the seat and wished all the candidates who are vying for various positions all the best in their campaign.
