Arsenal of England youth team player, Xavier Amaechi has replaced Chelsea youngster, Callum James Hudson-Odoi on the transfer radar of German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Sports247.ng gathered that The Bavarians, though, will have to ward off pressure from their Bundeslioga rivals, Borussia Dortmund, who are also said to be in the hunt for the Nigerian-born youngster.
The report out of Deutschland states further that Amaechi, who is already an England youth international, was again scouted on Monday against Swansea City, with Bayern said to be considering moving for him in the summer, after their effort to get Hudson-Odoi fell through.
The 17-year-old Amaechi, who has scored three goals in the English Premier League 2, was again in dashing form for The Gunners’ under-23 side on Monday evening in a 2-2 with Swansea at Meadow Park.
Though the more popular Bukayo Saka and Folarin Balogun were also both in action for Arsenal in the game, with the latter hitting one of The Gunners’ goals, all eyes were on Amaechi, who signed his first pro-deal in January 2018, with a contract that runs until the summer of 2022.
However, Bayern are keeping tabs on the teenager with a view aimed at making him the latest young English youth player to move to Germany.
