The winners at the 3rd edition of the Victor Ikpeba Football Challenge, will take home a total cash prize of four hundred and fifty thousand naira at the Five Aside Football event which has been scheduled for June 12, at the Obele Odan Community Centre, Fujah, Surulere, Lagos.
According to the General Coordinator of the event and the Chairman of the Obele Odan Community Development Association, Mr. Dapo Sotuminu, the Champions, will take home a cash prize of N200,000, a giant trophy and gold medals.
The second placed team in the 8-team Football Challenge will go home with a cash prize of N125,000, silver trophy and silvers medals.
While the third placed team will go away with a cash prize of N75,000, trophy and bronze medals. The forth placed team will take home a consolation prize of N50,000.
The General Coordinator of the event noted that, there will be individual awards for the Most Valuable Player, Best Defender, Best Midfielder and the Hihgest Goal Scorer.
Adding that, the four semi final teams will be kitted by the sponsor, the 1997 African Footballer of the Year, Victor Ikpeba.
The 1994 African Cup of Nations winner and 1996 Olympic Games Gold Medalist, declared that, the theme for this year’s edition is ‘Appreciation’ to show Nigeria Appreciation for giving him the opportunity to rise to the height of his football career.
