His moment of glory came in the 34th minute when he unleashed a stunning free kick that found the back of the net, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead as the first half concluded in their favor.

Despite the visitors managing to level the score with a surprising equalizer in the 75th minute, the Comets remained undeterred, maintaining their dominance in the second half. Led by Chukwu’s exceptional performance, the team continued to press forward in search of the winning goal.

Emeka Maduka, Jesam Uket, and Jonah James all came close to securing victory for Comets in the final 25 minutes of the game. However, despite their efforts, both sides were unable to break the deadlock, resulting in a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

Nevertheless, the draw ensured that Comets maintained their unbeaten record, a remarkable feat for the club as they secured a point and remained in sixth position on the Southern Conference Group A log with 19 points from 13 games.

With their sights set on further success, Comets will resume training on Monday to continue their preparations for the upcoming State Federations Cup Round of 16 tie against Miracle FC in Abaya, Aba, scheduled for Tuesday.

Looking ahead, Comets will face another challenging fixture as they travel to take on Dakkada FC in a Matchday 14 encounter at the Uyo Township Stadium next Saturday. With their spirits high and determination unwavering, Comets aims to build on their recent performances and secure more positive results in the games to come.
