Despite a sluggish start, Wikki Tourists eventually found their rhythm and dominated the match. Their persistence paid off in the 26th minute when Jonathan Mairiga slotted home a precise pass from John Taiwo, giving the hosts a well-deserved lead before halftime.
In the second half, Nentaka Bangs, who later earned the Man of the Match honor, doubled the advantage in the 52nd minute. He skillfully converted another excellent assist from John Taiwo, outmaneuvering Sokoto United’s goalkeeper with a calm finish.
