The proprietor of Ottasolo FC Gabriel Davies have paid players and backroom staff match bonus despite suffering a slender loss against the pride of Rivers
Ottasolo FC is gradually catching a niche for themselves in the ongoing governor Wike Preseason tournament.
The fast-growing team based in Lagos have exhibited their readiness to compete evenly in the competition following a sensational performance against Nigeria Caf Confederation cup campaigner, Rivers United.
Ottasolo FC caught the eyes of football fans present at the stadium as they almost caused Rivers United an upset. The Pride of Rivers could only edge past the Gabriel Davies boys with a dying minutes penalty after the referee had adjudged Ottasolo defender to have handled the ball in the box.
Speaking with the proprietor of the team, Davies in the post-match interview
“I am pleased with the performance of my boys today, they have proved that they are ready to face any opponent and there is no better ways to expose them than this. We will keep supporting and encouraging them.
“You can see the sense of uniformity in my boys and in the team as a whole. We are a young team and we want to learn and grow.
“Bulk of these boys have proved that they deserved to be motivated and encouraged.
“I have paid the players and the backroom staff their match bonus immediately despite the loss.
“I am after the positive performance of the team. Fine, we lost the game but the performance of these lads is commendable. I am sure we will get a positive result soon in the tournament. Davies concluded.
Ottasolo FC will look to pick positive points when they trade tackles with Cynosure FC in their next fixture in the ongoing Governor Wike Preseason tourney.
