Head coach of Madestone Football Academy, Oluwatobilola Olubiyi has explained why his academy signed an agreement deal with Lead British International School located at Ibadan, Oyo State.
The two parties came into agreement to raise a football academy known as LEAD BRITISH-MADESTONE FOOTBALL ACADEMY
Olubiyi said the agreement deal was necessary so as to encourage the students to see football as a profession, not as a hobby, and prepare them for a brighter future. He said the partnership deal would help the school to quickly develop and promote the round leather games among the kids or students in the school.
“We are not partnering for fun but we are doing this to help Lead British International School to become one of the football-playing schools in entire Oyo and secondly the academy would attract many kids to enroll into the school by the time school resumes for the new session.
“We are happy to partner with one of the foremost schools in Ibadan, Lead British International Schools on football development. This is historic and I hope that the partnership deal would bring the school to the limelight as many students from various schools would be looking forward to coming and register with the academy in few days to come,” he said.
Olubiyi, a UEFA licensed coach from the English Football Association and former coach of the Charlton Athletic Junior Reds FC, Bexleyheath, UK, also disclosed that arrangement is in top gear to train and retrain coaches to ensure the rapid development of the talented kids in the academy.
Olubiyi further said they have outlined how football activities would not affect class work saying that both activities would help the young kids to grow mentally, physically, and academically throughout their stay in school.
