Director of Springsoca United, Oladapo Emmanuel has explained why his team conceded scandalous defeat against Jimmy FC in the second of the Lagos State Challenge Cup.
Springsoca United suffered a 0-5 embarrassing defeat in the hands of Jimmy FC. The match was held at the Alakoso football pitch, Epe, Lagos.
Emmanuel commended his players for their commitment and fighting spirit but noted that the team lost concentration which ost them scandalous defeat.
“It was a great game for us. In fact, the match lived up to expectations, my players played well but I observed that the team lost concentration in the midway which cost us our defeat,” he said.
The dark-skinned football administrator said the defeat was a wake-up call and noted that the team would prepare for the next competition. He said all the mistakes committed by the players have been identified and they would be corrected at the training session.
“I have learned many lessons in Lagos FA Cup and the coaching crew and I would analyze our last match see where we can go from there. I am using this medium to thank our fans for their unalloyed support and they should continue to support the club in subsequent competitions,” he said.
