Renowned Lagos Prince, Ambassador, (Dr), Kazeem Eletu-Odibo on Wednesday celebrated the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani on the commemoration of his 40th birthday.
Prince Eletu who in honour of the Qatari monarch held a befitting birthday celebration at his residence in Lekki revealed that the Shiekh is his role model having shown visionary leadership in all sectors of life including sports which is a passion for him.
Sheikh bin Hamad al-Thani’s love for sports led to Qatar bidding and getting the nod to host the 2022 World Cup in the rich Gulf nation and also his vision which transformed French club, PSG to one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Prince Kazeem, the Chairman of Kazeem Royal Properties Limited, and also the proprietor of Prince Kazeem Football Academy, and the Prince Kazeem Eletu-Odibo Foundation, gave reasons why he is modelling his life after the Shiekh.
“As a resident of France and a fan of Paris Saint-Germain, I had the opportunity of studying the general setup and administration of the team and its owner the Emir of Qatar and his dream towards the advancement of the club.
“A close study of the PSG academy led me into setting up my own academy, the Eletu-Odibo Football Academy in Lagos. I also had the opportunity of reading about him.
“The celebration of the event is not only the celebration of the Emir’s birthday but the celebration of an exemplary and visionary youth and what the youth can achieve if given the opportunity to do so.
“Sheikh Tamim is a visionary leader who I have made my role model and mentor.
“His works and ways of leadership has touched me a lot. As a Lagos Prince, I have been exposed to so many leaders, including kings across the world, but none has inspired me as much as, Sheikh Tamim.
“I have for long found Sheikh Tamim, an inspiring role model and mentor, that’s why I joined the world to celebrate his 40th birthday. I just want to let him know that we love him here in Lagos,” he said.
