As part of preparation ahead of nationwide league one, NLO new season, chairman of Buruj Football Club/Academy Dr. Salaudeen Waheed Buruj has revealed his plans to appoint a foreign coach.
Salaudeen said the decision of appointing a foreign coach is to expose his players to the knowledge of modern football tactics and make them to adapt to different methodology of tactical game.
“I’m not saying that our local coaches are not performing up to expectations but having a breed of International coaching for my boys depicts standard, its a new drive in our pursuit and will further enhance their performance, advance their knowledge on modern football, teaches them on football philosophy and tactical aspects as their are lineup of tasks which requires a good technical capability that will cut across gaining perfection in all the key areas of the pitch, “he said.
Asked when the foreign coach would be appointed, the club chairman said he would soon start his negotiation with foreign coaches who show genuine interest in African football.
“I’m ready to kickoff the negotiations with the foreign coaches and anyone that shows genuine interest in nurturing African players at the grassroot level would be appointed,” he added.
Commenting on the preparation for the new season, Salaudeen disclosed that some new players had joined the club to make it formidable boasting that the era of beating Buruj with a wide margine has gone.
“Our performance at the last season showed that we are the team to be respected.We have learned from our mistakes over the years and we are building a formidable team that can stand the taste of time,”he concluded.
