Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen revealed to the public his childhood nickname back in Nigeria, who gave him the name and why he was called that.
Speaking to The NFF TV, the 23 year old striker revealed that he was called Odosi, a name given to him by his landlord then when he was younger just because he was stubborn.
“When I dey trenches, them be dey call me Odosi,” Osimhen revealed. “Na my landlord been give me this name because that time I stubborn well well so na Wetin he dey always call me,” he added.
The striker who scored 14 goals and 2 assists for Napoli in the 2021/22 season stated that he’s called “Osi” in Napoli whilst revealing other things about himself.
“My favorite cartoon then na Power Rangers. After we don watch am well well, me and my friend go go one field dey practice all those things,” he added.
Victor Osimhen is amongst the players in the Super Eagles camp in Abuja and will hope to lead the line successfully under new coach Jose Peseiro, starting from the first game against Sierra Leone on Thursday 9th June, 2022.
