Olusosun United creative midfielder, Damilola Odude is still in shock after his team suffered 2-0 in the hands of Chekas United in the Round of 54 in the ongoing WGB Lagos FA Cup.
The match took place yesterday at the Alade sports center, Ipaja Command.
Odude who was adjudged the man of the match explained to sport247 that their defeat came as a shock to him.
“It was a shocking result and it is not good for us. After the match ended, I was still in shock because I could not imagine that we would crash out in the round of 54,” he said.
A midfielder player explained that they lost the game as a result of poor finishing on the part of the strikers. He said they had created so many scoring chances but none of them was converted. He also stated that their opponents created two scoring chances and was quickly utilized to send his team parking out of WGB Lagos FA Cup.
“I am very disappointed and sad that we lost to an unfancied team. I gave all my best but unfortunately, we could not get a good result. We need to forge ahead and prepare well for our second round of Ikeja super league,” he added.
Asked where would he be in the next few years, Odude quickly said he wished to start his career in Europe.
