36 Lion Football Club this afternoon defeated Jimmy Football Club 5-3 on penalty shootout after one goal apiece at the regulation time.
The fourth round of WGB Lagos FA Cup held at the Alade sports center, Ipaja Command, Alimosho.
Before the encounter,Jimmy won their four matches with 16 goals, 36 Lion were delight to watch as Ola Raji scored a superb free kick in the 16th minutes to send their fans into wild jubilation.
Jimmy on the other hand raised their game but a good defence work from 36 Lion stopped them from scoring.
A cross from Jimmy at the corner side quickly converted by David Ankeye to end the first half one goal apiece.
The second half was more of a tactical game as both teams missed some scoring chances before the end of the game
Reacting to the victory, 36 Lion boss, Liameed Gafar commended both teams for their good display saying that his tactics worked for them.
Jimmy coach, Akanni Adebayo also commended his players but noted that they were unlucky to have lost the game through penalties.
