President of Nigeria Basketball Federation, Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida literally, turbo-charged the atmosphere at the basketball court of the ongoing NUGA Games being held at the University of Lagos, when he arrived at the venue to witness the finals of the basketball event.
Kida, watched the games, including the highly exciting men’s final game that saw NILE University defeat UNILAG 70-61 to claim the gold, alongside the NBBF Vice-President Babs Ogunade and other dignitaries.
Speaking with journalists after the games, and obviously excited Kida restated the commitments of his new NBBF board to the development of basketball at all levels, particularly, the collegiate games.
” We understand the need to play and develop the game of basketball at all levels in the country. Once again, let me reiterate that plans are on the ground to regenerate the verve and passion of our youths for the game in Nigeria.
” Apart from the basketball leagues, we are poised to make collegiate basketball, better, bigger, and more attractive. I am excited and happy to see our youths playing the dunking and slamming game with so much passion. The NBBF would surely encourage growth and passion, with grand plans,” the amiable NBBF boss said.
