This welterweight national challenge is set to take place at the prestigious Molade Okoya-Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos during the upcoming GOtv Boxing Night scheduled for September 24.
Olowu, a fighter known for his gentle demeanor outside the ring but ferocity inside, is re-entering the GOtv Boxing Night arena after his victorious match against Isaac ‘I-Star’ Chukwudi in 2021. In a recent statement, ‘Gentle Boy’ expressed his determination to win this upcoming bout.
“We fought each other earlier this year at Police College, which I won by majority decision. I am in top shape and this time, I will floor him. I will decide this the knockout way and save the judges the stress,” he confidently declared.
Olowu boasts a professional record of 15 wins and 2 losses in his 17 fights, with nine of those wins coming by knockout.
The GOtv Boxing Night will also feature five additional exciting bouts spanning various weight categories. One of the highly anticipated clashes includes a national female cruiserweight title bout between Celina ‘Pretty Assassin’ Agwu and Bolatito ‘Black Tito’ Oluwole.
