Dakkada FC midfielder, Lawal Muritala Adeseun has stated that the team will not stop fighting despite their huge chances of staying in the top flight even as they are in the relegation zone.
The Akwa-Ibom-based club will need to secure a win on the last day of the league thanks to their victory over Enyimba FC in Aba in the last match week.
“Well I’m glad we could scale through and I was optimistic about the success,” the 22 years old midfielder, Lawal, told Sports247.
“It hasn’t been an easy task for us the players and the technical crew we’ve worked so hard for this past weeks preparing for the games which we’re gonna conclude this weekend,” he added.
With 46 points from 37 games, Dakkada are currently 17th on the Nigeria Professional Football League 2022 season table and they host Sunshine Stars at home on the final day, Sunday, 17th July 2022 with a win guaranteeing them another season in the top flight.
“Well we gonna continue working hard and keep the momentum high,” Lawal said.
