Fans of Warri Wolves have been assured that the Seasiders will beat the drop zone of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, campaign.
Technical adviser Ortega Deniran gave this assurance after the oil city team lost 3 – 0 on Matchday 34 of the NPFL season against current log leaders, Akwa United.
Deniran said his side have their eyes set on survival, as the result against the Promise Keepers in Uyo was a temporary setback to the quest to maintain Warri Wolves’ NPFL status at the end of the campaign.
He noted that prior to the Matchday 34 encounter he knew his side were coming to play the best team in the Nigeria top flight.
“I’m proud of my boys,” Deniran said. ” 3 – 0 and no doubt, it was still lively.”
“Of course, we still have games to go.”
“We know we came to Akwa. Best team! No doubt, we’re going home and play for our safety.”
“We were coming to play the best team in Nigeria. I expect this kind of result.”
Warri Wolves will be in action again in the NPFL on Sunday when they will host Wikki Tourists on Matchday 35 at the Delta State Polytechnic Stadium in Ozoro.
