With the unwavering support of the Commission’s Chairman, Mallam Shehu Diko, and the Director General, Mr. Bukola Olawale Olopade, we celebrate a team that has not only competed on the global stage but has redefined the narrative of Nigerian cricket.

At the ICC World Cup 2025, these remarkable young women showcased unmatched determination, resilience, and skill, securing an impressive Top 6 finish.

Their performance didn’t just win matches—it won hearts, elevated Nigeria’s status in international cricket, and inspired a new generation of athletes across the nation.

This is more than a welcome—it’s a tribute to champions who have carried the hopes of a nation, faced the world’s best, and returned as symbols of pride and possibility.

Upon their return to Nigeria, the team was met with a grand and heartfelt welcome at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.

The atmosphere was electric—filled with vibrant colors, traditional music, and passionate cheers.

Leading the celebration was Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, the National President of the Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters’ Club, accompanied by an enthusiastic crowd of supporters who had gathered to honor their heroines.

The scene was a beautiful display of national pride: drums beating in rhythm with the heartbeat of a grateful nation, flags waving high, and voices united in chants of victory. It was more than a celebration—it was a statement that Nigerian cricket has arrived on the world stage.

“This success is not just a victory for cricket but a significant milestone for Nigerian sports as a whole,” said Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi during the welcome ceremony. “The Junior Female YellowGreens have not only represented Nigeria—they have inspired a generation.”

The team’s achievements are a beacon of hope, proof that with the right support and determination, Nigerian athletes can conquer any challenge. Their story will inspire countless young girls across the country to dream big, pick up a bat, and aim for greatness.

As we reflect on this historic moment, we remain steadfast in our commitment to support these trailblazers.

The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters’ Club will continue to stand behind our athletes, championing their efforts as they push the boundaries of what’s possible in Nigerian sports.
