Ninety-four football clubs made of 84 men’s teams and 10 women’s clubs will take the stage for the available titles in the 2020/2021 Winners Golden Bet / Lagos FA Cup and Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens have stated intention of being one of the two female teams in the finals.
With five hundred thousand naira winners cash prize at stake, alongside medals and a trophy and three hundred thousand naira cash prize for the runner up, coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu Queens, Jaiyeola Damilare told Sports247 that his team should at least get to the finals and that’s what fans should expect.
“We’re looking into God but from the draws today, with hard work from the girls we should be able to get to the finals. Fans should be expecting victory despite us being amateurs in the midst of professional clubs,” he said.
“Discipline is the key for success and I’ll advise players to be disciplined and for the coaches and management, let’s keep on working hard for that target,” he advised.
The FA Cup will be played in different venues across the state starting from next week simultaneously as some of the designated venues include Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Lagos, Mobolojai Johnson Arena, Onikan, Navy Ground, Ajegunle, Amuwo Odofin Ground, Tolu, Ajegunle, Union Bank Sports ground, Nitel Ground, Ishodi and other facilities in Ikorodu, Epe and Badagry.
