We will keep pushing to beat the drop – Victor Chidume

Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) will continue their pursuit to escape regulation when they welcome Niger Tornadoes FC to the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu on Sunday in Match Day 16 of the Nigeria Professional Football League, sports247.ng gathers.

 

Oladimeji Oshode who is the Media Manager of Remo based side said that t Sky Blue Stars are now twelfth (12th) on the Group A log table after they picked a point on the road last weekend against Bendel Insurance FC in Edo State.

Few days after, they lost to Almar FC in the 2019 Ogun State Federation (FA) Cup on penalties after a goalless draw in nighty (90) minutes at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode.

Niger Tornadoes are boosted by their 2-0 victory and clean sheet over Wikki Tourist FC at the front of their fans in Minna.

This encounter is a make or break situation for the Sky Blue Stars as the game might be the deciding factor to their stay in the top tier of Nigeria Football.

This the fourth (4th) time both sides will face each other in the Nigeria Professional Football League, the Ikon Allah Boys have won two of the encounter and drew one and the Sky Blue Stars are looking to get their first win against them on Sunday.

In a chat with Victor Chidume, he says it is a must win game for his side and also need to ensure that they work against going on relegation.

“It has been a difficult season, we have played so well since the commencement of the season but haven’t been getting results and it’s really something to worry about.”

“We will keep pushing to beat the drop because it is quite important to prove that we are a good side who is ready to face and surmount the challenges placed before us.”

“Niger Tornadoes are equally a good side in the league having a difficult season too which they are trying to revive but we need this victory much more than they need it coupled with the fact they we are playing them in front of our supporters who also want result.”

“We will keep doing our best and a win for us tomorrow will be a step in the right direction, we just hope and pray we scale through.” Chidume concludes.
