Nigeria Basketball Federation President Engr Musa Kida says the Federation is working towards making the country’s Premier Basketball League attractive enough for the Country’s biggest talents abroad to return home and play.
In the last FIBA World Cup qualifiers, D’Tigers had only foreign based players called up by Head Coach Alex Nwora and D’Tigress also relied majorly on foreign based players for the 2018 World Cup, but Kida has assured the Federation is keen to provide an enabling environment for top players to come play at home as part of a rebirth in the quality of the domestic League.
The premier basketball league in Nigeria has been on hold since the inauguration of Musa Kida but having achieved a giant stride in bring sponsors to the first division league the president said he and members of the board are working round the clock to ensure that the league when it finally returns is attractive enough to bring home Nigeria’s best stars abroad.
