The Ogun State Football Association led by Alhaji Majekodunmi Ganiyu has revealed that the FA is invested in getting the teams in top shape ahead of the 2023/24 NNL, NLO campaign hence the need for a preseason tournament.

Arrangements have since been in top gear to stage a pre-season tournament for clubs plying their trade in the Nigeria National League (NNL), and those playing in the Nation-Wide League (NLO) are in a bid to get the concerned teams to the maximum level of readiness for the upcoming season.
According to the Ogun State FA chairman, Alhaji Majekodunmi Ganiyu – “the main mission and purpose of this pre-season are to keep our team in top shape ahead of the league and we are determined as the board to get Ogun State football back to the top in the country”.
“Our aim is to use this pre-season as a preparation for our teams as we are setting a target of promotion for the teams and that’s why we are doing all we can do to get them fully ready and prepared”.

“Also, the teams’ should expect our full support in every area,” he pledged
The preseason tournament will kick off on October 9, 2023, in all four zones in the Gateway state.
Non-League clubs can also take part in the season build-up tournament by paying the mandatory registration fee.
Press Conference and the draw ceremony will herald the commencement of the tournament which is projected to have at least thirty teams in attendance.
