Nigeria Women’s Football League side Edo Queens finally picked their first win of the Super Six with a 1-0 victory over Naija Ratels courtesy Esther Oyenezide.
Esther who got their first goal of the super six in the last game against Bayelsa Queens, put the Edo side ahead after 18 minutes and. It ended that way as Chioma Olise described it as playing for pride while promising a victory in the last game.
“I’m very happy we got the win today. We totally played for our pride in the game today and I’m happy we got the win,” Chioma told Sports247.
“The whole team is happy and we hope we can continue as we aim for a win against Rivers Angels,” she concluded.
Edo Queens are 4th on the six team table with 4 points from 4 games courtesy a win and a draw against Naija Ratels and Delta Queens respectively.
