– Apologizes For His Team’s Aggressiveness On The Referees
Head Coach of Bethel Fc, Adebunmi Babajide has stated that his team are set to defeat Box2Box Fc to win the 2020 Legend Cup tournament.
After his Side’s 5-3 victory on Penalties against Dannaz Fc, the Bethel Fc head Coach in an interview with Sports247, after the match, admitted that he believes his team is capable and ready to revenge the defeat they had suffered in their previous meetings with Box2Box Fc, by beating them and claiming the cup as well in tomorrow’s final.
“Tomorrow is a rivalry game because it’s been a long that we want Box2Box to play with us. They have come to our ground to play draw. Last season, they won us where we did not even expect, so we are waiting for, we have been looking for them that we must revenge, and football, we plan, Tomorrow, we are winning the game with all determination,” he concluded.
While Still speaking with Sports247, when being asked the reasons for his team’s aggressiveness against referees in the tournament, the Master tactician apologized on behalf of his team’s actions as well as encouraging the officials to always conduct a fair game.
“We are very sorry about that because we are humans. We have been in this game since 2002, the team has been established, we face many difficulties from the Referees, we believe that let’s play the normal game. If we play the normal game, you will not see us talk to the Referee, we don’t encourage that, but when the Officiating is obvious as we are seeing it continuously, you know it provokes some anger. We don’t tell the Referees to support us, but we want the Referee to be fair in the game”, he said.
Tomorrow’s 2020 Legend Cup Final between Bethel Fc and Box2Box Fc will be played at the Soccer Temple Stadium in Agege, Lagos State.
