Robo Queens has drop dropped a hint on the future of teenage winger Kemi Adegbuyi as she helped Robo Queens defeat Ibom Angles by 2-1 in Lagos on Wednesday, Sports247 reports.
In a Matchday 5 game played at the Onikan Water front, Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Wednesday, 12 February 2025, Robo Queens sunk Ibom Angels to return winning ways after last week’s stalemate against Naija Ratels FC of Abuja.
In the center of everything good for the Lagos Queens,is Kemi Adegbuyi. The 14 year old continues her stellar run to the begining of the season.
The wonderful Kemi scored the opener for the Lagos based team in the 60th minute after a goalless fiets half.
Six minutes later, God’s Gift scored her own net to give Robo Queens a two goal advantage as Kemi Adegbuyi tormented the opposition’s backline to register another woman of the match performance this season.
The diminutive talented SS 2 student, has been the NWFL rave of the season so far, as she has been consistent in churning out superlative performances week in, week out.
The effort which saw her won the NWF Awards best Player of the month of January award in the league.
The smallish but deadly Kemi has been fueling discussions about his future as she is destined for a move away from the Robo Queens soonest in the wake of Robo Queens players leaving the shores of the country for greener pastures.
Meanwhile, the owner and coach of the club, Emmanuel Oshaon has a contrary and he has declared the player not for sale .
The dreadlocked tactician said Kemi is still in Secondary School and as a policy she won’t allow her to leave the club as she is not open to a move away from the club unless she has completed her Secondary School education.
” She is going nowhere” Osahon declared emphatically when asked if an offer comes in for Kemi Adegbuyi by our correspondent after the 2-1 victory over Ibom Angels.
Emmanuel Oshaon continues, ” I am an advocate of education and sports, so she can’t move unless she is through with her education.”
” In our team, we combine education with football or you take up a trade . In our team we have shoemakers, we have tailors, hairdressers we don’t train them how to play football alone” Osahon submitted.
The coach looks forward to next game in the game as the team is focused only on making the Super Six and opined it’s a game at a time for the team.
