Governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong has given hints on the plans Plateau United has to procure the return leg of the match against Esperance of Tunisia; saying there are plans but he will not reveal them.
Playing against four-time Champions League winners, Esperance of Tunisia, Plateau United has been tasked to go to the Northern African region to pull at least a draw which is enough to see them through to the group stage.
The Plateau State governor was on the ground to cheer on the team as they made it past the North African giants. Lalong, Speaking to press men after the encounter, stressed the need to double the effort put in during the last match if the team should stand a chance to qualify for the next stage.
“I am very happy that Plateau United was able to get the needed victory. The three teams in Nigeria today won. That’s why I am very encouraged. We have a lot of plans but we won’t reveal our plans now. There is still work to be done as Esperance is not a small team. What I will say is that we will review what we have done here and then improve on it”.
Esperance of Tunisia will welcome Plateau United at home, 5 pm West African Standard Time on Saturday 15th October 2022 in the main bowl of the prestigious Stade Olympique de Radès.
