Head of the Nigeria Women Football League Management Committee, Aisha Falode, has extolled the virtues of late NFF board member and Chairman of the NNL, Chidi Offor Okenwa, who passed away after losing a battle with leukemia, Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
Falode, said in Lagos Weds, that, the NWFL and indeed Nigerian football have lost a great technocrat whose love for the development of the game was second to none.
“Chidi, was always on ground to give valuable advice for the growth of women’s football in Nigeria. He had special interest in the women’s league, and he fought so hard to ensure the NWFL gets desired supports to reach its pinnacle”, she revealed about the deceased.
“At the last Congress of the NWFL in Benin City, it was Chidi who moderated on behalf of the NFF during the business session with clubs’ chairmen, and helped pointed to a brighter future for the women League. We have lost a gem, Falode said”.
