Team Ekofootball Future Stars came third at the just concluded U15 EkoFootball/FCAAN Tournament after thrashing Team Lagos Island DFA 5-1 in the 3rd place match on Monday.
After the match at the Agege Stadium, Sports247 caught up with Adelakin Temiloluwa, the first choice goalkeeper of Team Eko Future Stars.
The level-headed youngster spoke on his side missing out on the gold medal.
“We didn’t come here only for the gold but we came here to also show our talents,” Temiloluwa said. “So there’s nothing we can do about not winning the competition. But next time we will make some improvements.”
Temiloluwa added that he watches top goalkeepers like Arsenal’s Benrd Leno and the retired Petr Cech to improve his game and hopes to play at the highest level in the future.
“I watch most of the top goalkeepers. I watch Bernd Leno closely because I consider him as my role model. That’s the goalkeeper I watch the most and sometimes I watch Petr Cech’s training.
“I want to see myself in PSG, Arsenal, and Chelsea. Some clubs like that in Europe,” he concluded.
