Watford of England defender Williams Troost-Ekong has said that the Super Eagles are eager and willing to succeed in Freetown against Sierra Leone so as to redeem themselves when both sides square off on Tuesday.
The Former Udinese defender was at the heart of the Eagles’ defence on Friday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin where Nigeria were forced to a devastating 4-4 draw by the Leone stars of Sierra Leone despite being 4-1 up at halftime.
Troost-Ekong said that the disappointing result on Friday made the team(Nigeria) more willing and eager ahead of the trip to Freetown on Tuesday.
“It is our Naija spirit to overcome and succeed. Hungry and ready for redemption on Tuesday”! he twitted.
A win for Nigeria will be good enough for them to pick the AFCON ticket to Cameroon in 2021.
