Segun Ajiroba, the team manager of Joy Cometh FC has said that his side are ready for the 2021 Nigerian National League (NNL) season.
Ajiroba also confirmed that a number of his players were sold during the off-season but with the new ones on board, Joy Cometh will go even further.
“By His grace, we are going to move forward,” Ajiroba told Sports247.
“We are going to do more than what we did in 2019. Some of our players left and we have done good work on new players now. We are going to make Lagos proud.”
“We don’t have the capacity to compete with clubs like Shooting Stars and Vendrezzer but with the new players that we have we are going to move forward and the welfare of the team will be paramount to the team.”
Joy Cometh FC faces Gateway United FC on Sunday (Feb 14) for their season’s opener to be held at the Agege Stadium, Lagos.
Pressed on how ready his side are for the curtain-raiser, Adeola said: “We are good to go. We can say that from playing against MFM and in all our previous friendly matches, we are ready.”
“We respect the team and I am assuring you we are coming out victorious in our game,” he added.
