Flying Eagles’ Coach, Paul Aigbogun is upbeat his lads are focused on winning their first Group D game of the FIFA U-20 World Cup against Qatar on Friday.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the former Enyimba of Aba coach noted that his boys will not underrate their opponents but will go for all three points against them.
“Our immediate aim is to win our first game and take it up from there. We have a few lads in the team that are new because we made a few changes to the team that played the African qualifiers. These players will hopefully add quality to the team.
“We are here to do our best and to make Nigeria proud. No team is a small team anymore and Qatar are not any different. We want to do our best and come out of the group,” Aigbogun said.
Two times finalists Nigeria will take on Qatar at the Tychy Stadium in Tychy. Kickoff time is 6:00 pm local time.
