Coach of Plateau United Abdul Maikaba seems not to be satisfied with the level of play from his team.
However, the former Akwa United gaffer heaped praise on the non league side, Abia Greater with their level of display when they played Plateau United.
“We played against a very good side, they are really young and energetic. Basically what really helped us was that we are little bit more experienced and that showed on the field of play.”
“The match official did not help matters , we are here to come and test out our teams and play without any interest in whatsoever.”
Maikaba still feels his team is not fully ready for the CAF Champions League playoffs and questions his team fitness.
“We are not fully prepared for the CAF Champions League but I believe in the next 10 days we will perfect all the areas and tactics to execute the match.”
“I even told my boys that after this competition we must be ready for Simba FC because we don’t have much time. It seems our fitness level has question mark and I hope tommorow’s game will be better.”
Plateau United edged pass Abia Greater by a lone goal and are second on the log.
