Vanung University of Taiwan’s Talisman Humphery ‘Gabe’ Gabriel is confident of leading his team to a top 4 finish in the 2021/2022 UBA Championship following their first-round Finish in the Top 3.
The Lions of Taiwan finished the first round with a 5-2 result losing only to the 2020 and 2021 Champions in their opening 2 games before going on a 5-0 winning Streak.
Gabe was outstanding in the first round posting 3 Double-Double and nominated 3 times for the SSU TV play of the day.
The Nigerian Born is confident of the team getting better haven surpassed their target of avoiding relegation and now looking forward to the next round to fight for a top 8 finish.
“Our target this season was to fight to stay in the Division and we came into the first round as underdogs but we stood our ground and fought hard as a team” Humphery Gabriel Stated.
“We looking forward to the next round in January when the fight for top 8 begins and our target will be to stay within touch and fight for top 4 finish,” The Former Grizllies of Colorado Forward said.
Vanung University finished 3rd in the First round and will be back in January for Round 2 Games.
