Gbagada Football Club early Tuesday afternoon have qualified for the round of 32 of Winners Golden Bet Lagos State Challenge Cup.
Gbagada who reached semi final stage of the competition last year defeated Divine Praise 2-1 early today, while Collins Edwin played 2-2 with Liberty Stars before won the game 5-4 on penalty shoot out.
In other results, Messiah FC also defeated FC Robo Warriors 4-3 on penalty shoot out after one goal apiece at the regulation time.Melody walkovered Liquid MolyMoly, while Magic Stars walloped Lekki United 2-1 as Real Saphire walkovered Broad City.
Commenting on the matches played so far, chairman technical committee of Lagos FA, Dotun Coker has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the teams .He said the officiating and organization are superb in all the centres and urged the teams to continue abide the rules governing the tourney.
He however commended the title sponsor, Winners Golden Bet for it’s commitment and support given the tourney in the last few years and promised that the FA would do everything humanly possible to make this year’s edition a memorable one.
