The team’s General Manager, Neville Ambakaderemo, expressed his excitement at the positive start, describing the victory as a testament to the hard work and determination of the squad.
“I am excited about the victory because it places the team on a positive start ahead of the next game, which will be on the road,” he said.
Neville dedicated the victory to the newly appointed Chairman of the Delta State Sports Commission, Onoriode Oborevwori, and his team, whose arrival, he believes, will rejuvenate Warri Wolves.
He also praised the Director General of Sports, Festus Owhojero, for his unwavering support. “Together, I am sure we will achieve our most desired quest for promotion to the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL),” he added.
Coach Napoleon Aluma echoed the GM’s sentiments, crediting the team’s dedication and God’s grace for the victory.
“Jehovah Overdo, take all the glory for today’s victory over Crown FC. We dedicate it to our newly sworn-in sports commission chairman, board members, grassroots football club owners, and coaches who provided the players,” Aluma said.
The Seasiders demonstrated a dominant display, showing grit and determination to control the game despite some resistance from Crown FC.
Warri Wolves, drawn in Conference B, now set their sights on an away fixture against Dakadda FC as they aim to build momentum in their quest for promotion to the NPFL.
