Wake Up From Your Slumber, Danladi, Carew Tell Badagry United Players

Following the 1-0, home defeat Badagry United suffered at the hands of YG Boys FC, some board of directors in Badagry club have called on the players and coaching crew to wake up from their slumber and win their next match.

Speaking to Sports247, Musa Danladi said their home defeat in the Ekofootball league was a wake-up call and urged the players to improve their performance before the next game.

“All the entire board members of Badagry United are not happy about the result and performance of our boys. They need to wake up from their slumber and win their next game. I must confess that we were better in our last game but today’s match (Wednesday) was nothing to write home about,” he said.

Danladi said the defeat had exposed the weaknesses of the team and charged the coaching crew to work on the team before their next match. He also commended the team for their fighting spirits but noted that the team lacked finishing in front of the goal.

In his own comment, Sherifudeen Olasheni Carew said overconfidence, lack of coordination, and determination among some players in the team were responsible for their Defeat. He however admonished the players to wake from their sleep and ensure that they win their next game.

“The coaching crew and players need to go back to the drawing board and correct the mistakes identified against YG Boys before their next game,” he said.
