After crawling into the semi-finals of the ongoing WAFU U-17 tournament in Togo, the media officer of the Golden Eaglets, Francis Achi has charged the team to remain focused.
With the help of a 3-1 victory for Ivory Coast over Ghana, the Golden Eaglets qualifies for the next round of the competition despite having just a point in two games.
In a short chat with Sport247, Francis Achi declared that the final and qualification into the main tournament in Morocco is the topmost priority.
“I really appreciate the support of Nigerians to the team. We have not won anything yet, we only qualified for Semi-Finals. We have to beat Burkina Faso to qualify for the finals and U-17 AFCON in Morocco.”
The Fatai Amoo led Golden Eaglets now face Burkina Faso in the semi-finals for a chance to win the tournament in Togo and qualify for the U-17 AFCON in Morocco.
While Ñigeria face Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast trade tackles with Niger in the other semi-finals match up.
