Following the victory of Delta Queens as the overall winner of Nigeria women’s football league with a 2-1 over Bayelsa Queens in the final match of the Super Six, stakeholders have warned Delta Queens to recruit more players.

Former Nigeria Super Falcons head coach, Rowlandson Odeh said there is more work to be done because the Wafu B tournament is a higher standard of the game and all machinery needs to be put in place ahead of the event later this year.
Odeh said the Sheriff Oborevwori Ladies need to recruit more experienced players in less than ten days for the Wafu B event so as to get it right and qualify to play in the women’s CAF Champions League.
Former Director General of the Delta state sports commission, Victor Onogagamue said there is no doubt that more players need to be injected into the team to strengthen the new champions ahead of the WAFU B tournament.
Retired Super Eagles defender Sam Sodje revealed that more than two departments need to be strengthened with more experienced players as soon as possible to meet up with the caf players’ submission.
