WAFU B: NLO sensation Musa Akinfenwa Credits Coach Zubair For Flying Eagles’ Resilience As Nigeria Tackle Ghana In Jollof Derby Final

Akinfenwa Musa, one of the most talented players in the Nigeria U20 national team, the Flying Eagles has attributed the team’s resilience and success in the WAFU B U20 Championship to good coaching received from the manager of the team, Zubair Aliyu as the team faces Ghana in the Jollof Derby final Sporta247 reports.

The team was on the verge of being knocked out of the competition after their opening match loss to Burkina Faso , but they were able to find the needed energy and resilience as the team was able to bounce back and punch the U20 Africa Cup of Nations ticket and also qualify for the final of the WAFU B competition against the Black Satellite of Ghana.

Musa who was the cynosure of all eyes at the Maracana Center during the 2024 Nationwide Football League says Zubairu Aliyu was able to re energised the team spirit after the opening day loss to Burkina Faso after the spirit of the players were down.

” The time we lost our first game, the coach called everybody and talked to us about why we have to be more determined and do everything to win our next game, and we won 2-1 against Cote d’ivoire.”

In the next game against Niger Republic and the conceded again, and Musa credited the composure of Coach Zubair once again for his ability to instill the belief and confidence in the players from the touchline

‘ I will still credit the coach. Before the match. he called us and built confidence in us and encouraged us to go and win the match.”

” After we conceded the first goal , he still encouraged us that we could still win and we won 3-1″. said the Real Sapphire FC attacker.

Akinfenwa Musa who confessed he was very happy to be a part of the squad believe the Flying Eagles has what it takes to defeat Ghana in the final of the competition on Wednesday as the players are once again determined to return to Nigeria with the WAFU B U20 Men Championship trophy.
