Following the third place game loss against Zambia, former Super Eagles coach, Austin Eguavoen hailed the Super Falcon’s performances while also encouraging them to pick themselves up ahead of the World Cup games.
Super Falcons lost by a goal to nil to Zambia yesterday in the third place games after missing out on a record tenth Women Afcon trophy but have qualified for the World Cup games in Australia, New Zealand.
Eguavoen admonished them not to be discouraged, “Super Falcons, Raise your heads up high. This is a very young team that would continue to grow.”
“There were a lot of brilliant performances on display in Morocco. A massive well done on Qualification for our Ninth straight FIFA World Cup.”
“Be very proud”, he charged.
